Inhaltsangabe

Using materials otherwise deemed as scraps or junk, this handbook shows mosaic artists how to incorporate such items into rich and beautiful works of art. Crafters of all levels will learn to look for and adapt ideas and designs from such sources as ornaments, photographs, fabric, paintings, jewelry, pebbles, polymer clay, and found objects to create outstanding pieces. From the design and material-gathering stages to instructions that employ the latest techniques and innovations, including the revolutionary glass and tile saw that allows curves in mosaic work, this handbook inspires and motivates artists to create beautiful and lasting artwork.
