Killdozer! is the third volume of a series of the complete short stories from Theodore Sturgeon’s career. It contains a few of his best and most famous short stories, including “Medusa”, “Killdozer!”, and “Mewhu's Jet”.
 
The series editor Paul Williams has dug into the background of each story, and come up with a lot of interesting lore about Sturgeon. Especially of interest in this volume is the alternative original ending to “Mewhu's Jet.”

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Theodore Sturgeon was born on February 26, 1918, in Staten Island, New York. He is the author of over 120 short stories, 11 novels, and television scripts, including “Baby is Three”—hailed as one of the “Greatest Science Fiction Novellas of All Time”—and “Slow Sculpture” for which he won the Hugo and Nebula Awards. He died in Eugene, Oregon, on May 8, 1985 and was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 2000.
