In addressing 'the problems, vexations, frustrations, and satisfactions' of college administrators, Eble offers common-sense guidance on managing the daily workload, budgeting time, short-range and long-range planning, and personnel decisions. With well-chosen words and occasional touches of humor, he shows administrators how to get satisfaction out of a job many regard as 'grubby.'''
