This book is a personal journal containing stories and reflections about the sport of polo. Much of the content of this book is recorded as eyewitness accounts and first-hand experiences from people directly involved with the sport of polo. Many of the stories are derived from intimate knowledge of the sport, centered on the timeline of the life of remarkable man by the name of Joe Rizzo. The Rizzo family witnessed and influenced the course of events of polo for over 75 years of the sport’s 140 years of existence in the United States. The stories highlight both well-known and previously less-told tales about key people, horses, places and events that helped propel polo in the United States.
