The gentle spirit of the author pervades this short easy to read book. Reflective Challenges from the Lord's Prayer is very 'doable' and can be used to enhance spending time with God, one on one. It directs the reader to relevant Bible passages giving thought starters and questions intended to take the individual on a closer walk with his/her maker.

Madeleine, beloved by the Father, befriended by Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit and married for nearly 50 years, loves gardening and playing games of all sorts. (She has a competitive streak in her!) A primary school teacher and teacher of English, mother of four and grandmother of ten, she, with her husband, Andrew, hosted around ten weddings and accommodated thirty students and an ageing mother, who suffered from dementure, in their large Victorian home in Sheffield. From here they had a fascinating time on a number of short term missions in Asia and Africa. In 2009, Madeleine and Andrew followed a treasure hunt adventure with God from Sheffield, where they had been part of a large house church, to a village in Kent, joining the parish church. They still have people from all over the world take time out in their annexe. In 2012 someone told Madeleine that they felt that God had said that she should write. Her first response was disbelief, but this is her seventh little book!
