The Land That Time Forgot is the first novel of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Caspak Trilogy. The book starts out as a war time sea adventure but eventually turns into a lost world story. Burrough's lost world is different from previous lost world books from other authors in that he describes a unique biological system. The People That Time Forgot is the second novel of the Caspak trilogy. The book begins with an expedition to rescue some people that are stranded on Caprona, a large Antarctic island. When the ship arrives they find much more than they had hoped for. Out of Time's Abyss is the final novel of the Caspak trilogy. The book continues the lost world saga as Bradley and his party attempt to return to Fort Dinosaur. Edgar Rice Burroughs was an American author who is considered to be one of the most influential writers of the 20th century. Burroughs was a prolific writer in many genres and he is most famous for creating extremely popular fictional characters such as Tarzan and John Carter of Mars. Burroughs also wrote other widely read series of books such as the Caspak Trilogy and the Pellucidar Series.
