Malkami lives on a planet in a solar system similar to ours. Wizards, Witches, and dragons are considered the most powerful of living things. A large number of species with less or no magic co-exist with the magical beings. A moon revolves around this planet. It appears four times time in one revolution. The full moon, seven days later, half-moon, then an outline of the moon, another half-moon and back to the full moon. The cycle takes twen¬ty-eight days. Ten cycles create a year. The planet spins on an axis. It is not tilted. It has no seasons. The coldest part is the top and bottom. The hottest area is in the middle. In-between are various types of weather depending how close the beings are to the top or bottom and the middle.
