Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Denay Hooks grew up in Mason, Texas and graduated from Texas State University. Denay, her husband, and their three children have lived in Louisiana and Kentucky, but now call Lubbock, Texas home. Denay was a First Grade Teacher, but chose to stay at home once their daughter, Hannah, was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at the age of two. Hannah has given their family a new perspective on life and an incredible joy that they want to share with others. When Denay and her family aren't seeking out new adventures, you can find her creating recipes in the kitchen or crafting with her kids. Her children inspire her writing and she hopes that The Adventures of Bug and Boo Series will impact many children across the world.

CHAPTER 1

Hello everyone, I am Boo and that's Bug.

Our real names you ask? No. What our mom calls us with love.

My little sister is five. She is so cute and so wise.

She uses a wheelchair and she speaks with her eyes.

Bug may do things differently at first, but wait and you'll see. She has hopes, she has dreams. She is like you and like me.

Bug and I have a secret. Come close if you dare. We go on adventures. We fly here, we go there.

When we are on these adventures, Bug sings, laughs, and dances. But don't tell our mom. We can't take any chances.

Mom would worry like crazy. We can't tell her for sure, So hold on real tight and we will give you a tour.

Away, here we go! Oh, there is a lot of motion. We are flying over land. Oh wait, it's the ocean!

We break through the surface and swim in the sea. "I'm a mermaid!" Bug squeals. "Look at my tail!" she yells with glee.

We see millions of fish. Some big and some small We see colorful guppies, Bug's most favorite of all.
