I am a scientist, therefore I need solid empirical evidence to accept anything as real. Here is the difference between scientific evidence and anecdotal evidence: “There is ample anecdotal evidence which is presumptive of the existence of ghosts or other paranormal phenomena.” If one uses the scientific method to verify the hypothesis that ghosts are real and not just visual or auditory hallucinations, one needs to have hard empirical data documenting phenomena that otherwise can’t be explained by most types of hard science.
