Inhaltsangabe
Jody Dyer slaps humor on everyday life as skillfully as a veteran line cook throws country ham on a flat top grill. Readers compare her to Lewis Grizzard and Fannie Flagg, but Dyer has a unique, modern, edgy voice with Appalachian roots and universal appeal. In Theories: Size 12, readers gain a new perspective on marching bands, zoos, sports parents, teachers, outdoor weddings, tailgates, bicycle guys, and much, much more. Dyer says what we're all thinking but afraid to say, and she does so with a rare combination of fearless wit and literary finesse—a combination as lip-smacking good as pinto beans and cornbread. In Theories: Size 12, Laugh! You know you want to, readers will find a friend, and many laughs, on every page.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Jody Dyer is a compassionate humorist and natural storyteller. Her unique writing style engages readers as she presents concise, yet emotional reflections that address a variety of issues we all face. Dyer’s artful, witty perspective will certainly make readers stop, think, and laugh! From Dyer: I am direct, but tender-hearted toward the challenges and suffering of others. I come from a family of minstrels and teachers, where humor is honored and practiced to enjoy and survive life. We all have lessons to learn and teach each other, so I write to encourage, enlighten, and entertain. Readers relate to my "author's voice" because I’m wide open, approachable, friendly, and honest. I’ve been compared to Tina Fey, but I think I sound like my mama!
