Born in 1932, Mr. Harold Lucas Jr. has lived a life that encompasses so much of our history. He lived through World War II, served in the Korean War, taught during segregation and pushed through the doors of integration. Mr. Lucas played an integral part in the development of Daytona Beach, more specifically the community of Midway. One could call him a renaissance man because of his many roles including: teacher, administrator, coach, father and mentor. Over the course of his 83 years it is evident that he sees the possibilities as endless.
