"When Our Roads Come Together" is a personal reflection on the most memorable days in the lives of more than 100 of the members of the casts of the international program Up with People, during its first years from 1965 to 1970. Told in waves of vignettes, these memories portray what it was like to be at the heart of that musical phenomenon, which captured the imagination of young and old alike across the world in the second half of the 1960's. This is a unique and authentic view of Up with People, written by many of those who lived it daily, with the emotions and insights, comedy and drama of the challenges to stimulate new thinking and commitment in their peers across the globe. These memories are only a part of the on-going story of Up with People, yet they convey the essence of what it was like to be a cast member during those early years, or for that matter, like any year since. Come on in and get a flavor of the personal journeys that are the fabric of the beginnings of Up with People.
