This is an anthology of some of the best of Shakespeare - speeches, scenes, sonnets and songs, together with an introduction, plus notes on every piece. The aim is to encourage everyone to speak these words aloud and share in the joy that Shakespeare's language brings us. The author, Ernie Richards, was born in Liverpool, studied English at Cambridge, and taught at the I.M. Marsh College in Liverpool (now part of the Liverpool John Moores University,) then was Principal of Urchfont Manor Adult Residential College in Wiltshire. He has written two books on Shakespeare, one on William Blake and Jerusalem and two on the history of the Women's Institute.
