Inhaltsangabe

We live in a changing world. Mass migration and seemingly shrinking distances are leading to a clash of worldviews and cultures. This, in turn, is formed and sustained by our religious beliefs, based on the Bible or the Qur'an. Most Christians and Muslims do not chose their religion. They were born into it, and to a varying degree instructed in it. True faith is based on knowing why and what to believe. For such a choice information is indispensable. It can be found here. Those who make a genuine effort to obtain an adequate insight into both religions in order to form their own opinions about them, do not only broaden their horizon, and begin to understand the mindset of their foreign neighbours, but also learn to significantly relate to them. This book affords a basic and yet sufficient insight into the Bible and the Qur'an. The readers will be surprised by discoveries they are likely to make about the very source of their own religion. Gerhard Nehls not only studied the Bible and the Qur'an, but equally the Hadith and Sirat, which support and interpret the latter. Besides that he was involved in a great number of personal studies and discussions with Muslims. This book is unique in that it does not consult the one or other opposing opinion about them, but lets the two Books speak for themselves. Its topical order makes it easy to discover their similarities, but it also does not hide their, at times crucial, differences. Be challenged! Just think of it! What if…?
