Janis Hennessey received her first camera for her 14th birthday. Since that day she has enjoyed taking pictures of her very active family. She has many pictures of her children and now her grandchildren working and playing together. The ‘Why Did” series combines her two great loves of creating stories with and for children, and taking their pictures doing things which illustrate who they are. Janis earned a master’s degree in French Literature from the University of Kentucky and a diploma in French History from the Sorbonne, Universit� de Paris. She taught French in Kentucky, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Having her books in both English and French is a real joy!
