I am an aspiring business woman whose desire is to help other spouses of First Responders by empowering them through my own experiences and insight. In my journey through 35 years with a spouse in law enforcement, I have witnessed firsthand the many challenges and victories that a First Responder may face. I have watched my husband and been by his side as he hit rock bottom with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), and slowly turned the corner and climbed back up to the light. It is my desire now to help break the negative stigma of PTSD - #Turnthelighton - and to let others know that there is hope for the future and that you can live your best with PTSD. I currently reside in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, with my husband, retired RCMP officer of 35 years, and live near my children and grandchildren. We are working together with a team of professionals building an online platform to help educate, to create awareness, and to engage and empower those suffering with PTSD. It was always a dream of mine to write a book about My Life With A Cop, and after the downward spiral of PTSD, I knew I needed to share my story so that others would know they are not alone in this journey. I hope you enjoy my stories and that my words will resonate with you and empower you to live your life to the fullest.
