How often do you spend time looking back over your life? I bet you have tried numerous times but can't remember much. Well, it happens to all of us. However, I have some letters and notes. Now I will make a cup of hot chocolate and read them.

Ms. Gloria A. Swift immigrated to the United States in 1973. She served in the United States Army and earned several prestigious awards including being the Distinguished Graduate at the Instructors' Training Course. At the end of her three-year term, Ms. Swift worked as a Correctional Officer, then, transferred to another law enforcement agency where she was the first female officer on the Police Department. Despite the challenges, Ms. Swift performed exemplary but was forced to leave because of her race. She did not give up and gained employment in banking. It took awhile but she worked her way up to Assistant Vice President. After 12 years in Banking, Ms. Swift returned to her first love, teaching. Currently, she is teaching high school students who have special needs. Ms. Swift is a former National Board Certified Teacher who holds two Master of Arts degrees and six credentials in Education. Ms. Gloria Swift has been teaching for over two decades and has taught students with various ability levels. Failure is not an option and she will do whatever it takes to get students to succeed.
