Todhunter has focused his book on a fairly narrow topic, and as such the subject is explored with a good deal of detail. The book proceeds to explore spherical geometry, spherical triangles, geodetical operations, polyhedrons, and miscellaneous propositions, and many more. While examples are presented throughout, the book does not offer the reader with practice questions and answers, as most textbooks do.

Spherical Trigonometry is a well written textbook that presents its subject matter in detail. Suitable for high school or college students, the material covered is of a moderate difficulty level, but could serve as an individual's introduction to trigonometry. The lack of practice question is somewhat of a disappointment, but the book does provide ample examples with detailed solutions.
