The Hydraulic Lift Graving Dock at the Victoria Docks, London, has been in operation nearly thirty years and has lifted about four thousand vessels with perfect safety. It is 300 feet long and sixty feet wide it can lift a vessel of tons weight. The successful Operation of this first experiment of the' kind led to the construction of others indifferent parts of the' world.
