The word mandamus is not used in the statute, but the order of the Court is in the nature of a mandamus. It is not claimed that the Act of 1834 authorizes the Court of Quarter Sessions to issue a mandamus on a judgment of the Court, but that it has power to issue the writ to enforce the payment of an award of road damages.
