Simon Hunter has accumulated enough wealth to retire and live a life of sweet luxury. So why does he put life and limb at risk to help the disenfranchised of the world? Is he a super philanthropist? He opposes, and vows to destroy, heartless regimes which oppress the poor and defenceless who have fallen through the cracks of self-absorbed societies. Doing this puts him in the deadly firing line of adversaries with no morals. To mitigate the corrosive effects of the inhuman moves he must make to defeat his unprincipled foes, he has developed a binary personality; an alter ego, which is coldly detached and does not flinch from bringing about the deadly retribution his true self abhors.

In this, his latest quest, he endeavours not to cause death and mayhem, as has happened in the past - but he finds that doing so places him and his associates at the mercy of a lone wolf maniac who has no social conscience, and for whom murder is the first choice solution.

Can he succeed in his goals, or must his inhuman alter ego become dominant and subvert his true self? Will he find salvation, or will the death and carnage continue?
