Janet Holland , Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, teaching graduate students in Instructional Design and Technology. She has served as president and conference chair for the Kansas Association for Educational and Communications Technology. Research and publication interests include human-computer interactions in the field of instructional design and technology, online learning, mobile learning, globalization, and wearable technologies. Dr. Holland has published many book chapters and journal articles and has presented internationally in Paris, London, Rome, and many other locations. She has won awards for both teaching and research at Emporia State University. As an instructional designer, new technologies are continually examined in an effort to inspire innovative teaching and learning practices.
