Not fitting in to the group and feeling a bit bored, Oddi, as he became known, a young alligator, watches a squirrel run up a tree and thinks he would like to try climbing. Unfortunately, he is not a very gifted climber and one day falls on the hugest and grumpiest alligator in the colony who decides he wants to teach him a lesson. So begins a series of encounters and adventures in the trees.
