In a desperate attempt to generate repeat custom, Ludo and Janus have resorted to lacing the food with Syntac – a highly addictive drug they obtain from a low-life gangster by the name of Shaartho. Their regulars Ongun (the Dromedan Space Ranger), Arity Chromus (a spacecraft selling pot plant), Mav Neesis (the many proboscised casino owner), Mrs Cumsay-Wumsay (a fussy Earth descended gossip) and the beguiling Kyla (manager of the SAGDEG Somnastic Hotel) are completely unaware of their addiction. All they know is that they are possessed of an inexplicable desire to return to the Star Stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Things take an even worse turn for the catering duo when they happen upon what looks like a silent singularity lurking in their storage shed. However, circumstances and the singularity conspire to send them a little more than two years back in time to a better place. A happier place. A time when Nanomeyer’s teleport was yet to be unleashed. And so our heroes decide to seize this opportunity - to prevent Nanomeyer from ruining everyone in Entropport’s lives and prevent the teleport system’s launch before it is too late.
