Jay Walken just wanted to celebrate his birthday with his girlfriend, when he inexplicably became cursed by a fortuneteller named Gypsy in 1953. Since that day, his curse has turned him into a Savior and he’s been compelled to walk North America, saving people who might make a difference in the future. Each new rescue bestows a unique ability upon him, which he loses as soon as the job is done, and if he dies in the line of duty, he is later resurrected and eventually acquires a different ability, which he must use to rescue yet someone else until “he himself has died a thousand deaths.” To further complicate his life, for decades now, Winston Harding, who is a member of a powerful organization called Enemies of the Cursed, has been hunting Walken and other members of the Cursed, hoping to eradicate them forever. However, when Walken unexpectedly crosses paths with both Harding and an old acquaintance and finds out that there is a chance that his curse might be lifted forever, he is forced to make a choice that could affect thousands. This book is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 due to pervasive language and some sexual references.
