Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

The author is a professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Alberta where he works in the area of particle physics. He is a member of the ATLAS experiment at CERN which discovered the Higgs boson in 2012. Prior to moving to Alberta he was in charge of part of the trigger system for the DZero experiment at Fermilab with Michigan State University. He obtained his PhD in 1996 working on the NA48 CP violation experiment at CERN with the University of Cambridge where he also obtained his undergraduate degree in physics.
