Theo the mouse has led a rather sheltered life on a dusty shop shelf, but this soon changes when he becomes a Christmas present. Arriving at his new home, Theo finds himself surrounded by mystery, adventure and a host of colourful characters who turn his simple life upside down and make him realise what it truly means to be a mouse. The Chronicles of a Rodent is a series composed of six short stories that follow the life and adventures of the noble and courageous mouse, Theodore. My name is Diane Flear-Charlton. I am a sixty-five year old lady who has recently begun writing children’s literature. I was born in Lincoln, England and have continued to live here for the majority of my life, the exceptions being two interludes where I lived firstly in Cape Town, South Africa and secondly in Cambridgeshire. I have three children and six grandchildren. Throughout my life I have worked extensively as a self employed hairdresser, in more recent years I managed an ethnic clothing shop in Lincoln - The Mockingbird. Since retirement my time has been split between gardening, painting and looking after my many grandchildren. My interests include, but are by no means limited to, gardening, cooking, painting, reading, travelling and my dogs.
