Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data provides excellent high resolution all weather images but at the expense of more complex digital signal processing. Existing data processing techniques are not always suitable due to the difference in illumination characteristics. This book presents practically implementable techniques for synthesizing monocular SAR image data and prepare for quantitative analysis in remote sensing applications. Techniques for speckle noise minimization, geocoding and 3D modelling provided here should be of great practical utility to students, engineers and researchers working in the field of remote sensing.
