As the war finally comes to its end, he flees the collapse with his war bride and new son only to find the home he returns to offers no refuge, as the demons he left behind have followed him and will not let him go.

Sometimes tragic, sometimes funny, this odyssey touches ports of call ranging from rage, greed, and terror to comedy, courage and love. It’s a story about life and death, about youth and age and sex and race, and about growing up, even after thirty.
