Reseña del editor:
In the ancient, seven tribes settled on the holy mountain named Fortress sun located in Kambata, Ethiopia (Ch. 3). Fortress sun is the abode of god Abba (Ch.1). The incarnation of god Abba whose temple is on top of Fortress sun governed the original seven tribes of Kambata. The kingdom was mapped in the shape of the sun (Ch.2). Thirty radial lines emanating from holy fortress sun defined the thirty gates or governmental regions of the kingdom. Mount Fortress Sun is regarded as the Fandanic center of earth. Contrasting aspect is mentioned in the ancient Chinese myth of detecting the center of earth(ch. 2).In appreciation of formation of a kingdom centered on mount fortress sun, the name of the holy mountain and the name of the god were used to construct alternate names for Kambata. The epithet ‘Seven house fortress sun’ is one of the three alternate names of Kambata. It signifies the society of the original seven tribes that resided on the holy fortress sun. The second epithet for Kambata is ‘Kambata of Abba’. The name is based on the god that governed the society of the original seven tribes. Kambata is named ‘Kambata of thirty gates’ in appreciation of the circular map design that has thirty divisions. The collection in this book is based on the mythical and legendary accounts of numerous previously worshiped local pagan gods and goddesses of Kambata society in Ethiopia. The culture of the society is derived from the governance structure of the old gods system. The gods of Kambata speak figurative language. Artifacts such as the pre dynastic Narmer palette can be read with relative ease by applying the figurative language (ch 1). The reincarnating god of Kambata has contrasting attributes with that of ancient Egyptian god Osiris and Avalokiteshvara of Tibet(ch 1). Dozens of ancient gods are listed for the very first time in a written form. Among them is Greco-Roman sounding god Funna. Others are Jenona, Mero, Ambael, Nagesh, Bodo, Inglal, Nad, Watar,...(ch 1). Goddesses include Sindu and Marame. Based on the legendary migratory trails of some tribes, contrasting aspects are mentioned between the tribal gods and mythology of gods elsewhere.
