This book, however, still has value for builders who may prefer a planked canoe with a L.O.A. 14'3", beam 36", rocker 2", beam at 2" waterline 30", bow height 16", weight 56-60 pounds. Since a revised method is now available, the price for this version has been reduced. Regardless of the method used, this is a solid choice for a stable, durable, attractive, and economical canoe that can be created for $300-$400 and 40-60 hours
