Dear Jack: Diary of an Addict is the story of four friends who reunite after years of contention. When Neal Junior receives a distressing call from his old friend, Rich Stevens, he joins his former friends, Chris Franklyn and Johnson McNamara, as they rush to Rich’s side to help him overcome his crippling drug addiction. In the meantime, they also work on repairing the burned bridges of their friendships while dealing with their own personal troubles through short stories, poetry, and fist fights. Paralleled with Rich’s diary entries chronicling his fall into drug addiction, the story weaves its way through arguments, withdrawals, and forgiveness as the four of them share their emotions with each other through their writings, hoping that they will eventually find the missing piece in each of their lives that will allow them to finally be happy.
