D. Anne Pierce began writing on the topic of sexual abuse in marriage after counseling countless women trapped in an abusive relationship. She also writes from personal experience in her first marriage. She is a Licensed Counselor, mother and grandmother, plays the guitar and loves to garden and hike. She is also the happy wife of the "sweetest man on earth".
