The poems span his lifetime and publication in numerous small magazines, websites and open mic events. Most of them are stories, a sharing of his experiences as a sailor, student and holder of a dozen odd jobs before starting his 36-year career in journalism in 1974.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

David Allen is a freelance writer and poet now living in Central Indiana. He was born in South Carolina and raised on Long Island, NY, which is enough to make anyone a bit crazy. He is a former sailor, war resistor, and journalist, writing for newspapers in Virginia, Indiana, and the Far East. On Okinawa he was part of the “Eat Write Café and Traveling Poets Society” and published a poetry e-zine, eatwritecafe, for several years. He has been writing ever since he learned how to hold a pen. It's what he does best.
