Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Born in 1947 in Guymon Oklahoma, Mel Adkins is a true adventurer. He grew up in Alaska and worked in the oilfield and the commercial fishing industry. He has raced dog teams in both middle and long distance races which included the Iditarod race in 1979 and 1984. He has been a gold miner, trapper, and a life long outdoorsman. He has lived a part of the life he writes about. He now resides in the southern Rocky Mountains with his wife and daughter.
