At a time when the state of Poland was constantly undergoing political turmoil, Henryk Sienkiewicz wasn’t afraid to ruffle feathers. He is still well regarded today for novels like "With Fire and Sword", "The Deluge", “Quo Vadis”, and "Fire in the Steppe". Quo Vadis, his most famous work, takes place in Ancient Rome during the time of Nero. With a strong plot full of heroism and courage, Sienkiewicz offers a glimpse of life during Ancient Rome in a manner that brings it back to life.
