In this sequel to Jim Talbert's Whistling in Chicago, "The Birth" Jim holds up his end of the bargain with Detective Kasey, ridding Chicago of the railway gangs controlling power. In this on-going series, I am currently living through my character Jim Talbert, who does what I often wish I could. Although our worlds are very different, we are the same . . . retired Special Forces snipers. I get a kind of gratification from his avenging actions. Sometimes the only thing that scares me is how much we are alike. *And as always, rest well, my brother-in-arms and friend, Hijack.
