A powerful and accessible guide to one of the Bible’s most prophetic books—designed to illuminate, inspire, and strengthen faith for readers of all ages.

The Story of Daniel the Prophet by Stephen N. Haskell transforms the complex prophecies of the biblical book of Daniel into a clear and inspiring narrative, rich in insight and spiritual encouragement. Rooted in deep scriptural study and heartfelt devotion, this timeless work brings to life the experiences of Daniel, a Hebrew captive who rose to become a trusted advisor to kings in Babylon and Persia—while remaining faithful to the God of Heaven.

Through fiery furnaces, lion’s dens, angelic visions, and stunning dreams of the future, Daniel’s story is told with clarity and reverence. Haskell carefully traces the fulfilled prophecies that shaped world history and reveals how they point forward to events yet to come. At the same time, he draws practical, faith-building lessons about obedience, courage, and trust in God.

Written to be both devotional and educational, this classic work is especially valuable for parents, teachers, and Bible students seeking a family-friendly or classroom-friendly introduction to biblical prophecy. It is ideal for those new to the study of end-times themes, yet rich enough to challenge seasoned believers.

Whether you are curious about Bible prophecy, seeking to strengthen your Christian faith, or simply longing for a clearer understanding of God’s plan in history, The Story of Daniel the Prophet is a powerful and uplifting resource that still speaks with urgency and clarity today.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

When twenty-two year old Stephen N Haskell first talked with a Sabbath-keeping Adventist, he declared, "If you want to keep that old Jewish Sabbath, you can do so, but I never shall." But later that day in 1853 the Sabbath keeper, William Saxby, invited Haskell to his home, and explained the heavenly sanctuary and the three messages of Revelation 14. Haskell left Saxby's home deeply troubled, but after further study and prayer decided to follow the plain teachings of the Bible. During the next sixty-seven years Haskell served as an Adventist evangelist, church administrator, missionary, writer, and Bible teacher. In 1914 he published his most famous book, The Cross and Its Shadow, to help others understand the meaning of the sanctuary and its role of pointing to Christ.
