It's the "Changing of the Guards" It is apparent that the 21st Century is faced with new challenges that has affected every market, culture, and even spheres of influence. Does God have a plan for the nations, and those who will lead the way? Of course He does, and when the "guards change" so does the rules of engagement. If you've desired to change nations, the way business is conducted, and religion, it all starts with a 21st Century King, Leader and Reformer. Men and women who pave the way for nations are kings and reformers of their day. In her authoritative style, La Vada D. Humphrey enlarges the readers mind-sets to establish a footprint in the earth to reposition nations, and business systems that require reforming. She declares that there will be men and women who are in the "business for the Business" as God ushers them in to their sphere of influence. She challenges the emerging change- agents wearing mantles to reform and lead to fill the sits of modern day Josiah's, Esther's, Nehemiah's and David's - all who ultimately changed the world and repositioned the kingdom. Coaching Kings is about "troubleshooters" in the marketplace. Men and women who will break glass ceilings, question the unquestionable and take on national crisis for the Kingdom of God. If you're a business man, Pastor, Politician, Judge, entrepreneur or one who feels that God has "chosen" you for such a time as this, perhaps you're the reformer that shall arise to occasion in the marketplace.

The Power Of Strategy
Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tacticswithout strategy is the noise before defeat.—Sun Tzu
King (melekh): One who leads and reigns as leader.
A strategist is the point person. He or she is also called upon to implementchanges, create opportunities and strategic turns, shift in proper timing, and forecast opposition. Every kingdom prepares strategy designedto outwit its enemy. And every King prepares his successors to takeposition, understand the process, acquisition, community, culture, matters concerning tactics and to "think" well to govern in the rulesof engagement.
Have you ever played the game of chess before? Chess is one of thebest strategic games known to man. Play takes time, skill, predictionand strategy. The playing ground is equal. Before the game starts, eachplayer aligns the board. There are no head starts, and the rules arepredetermined before one move is made.
To play, you must know the names of every piece on the board, andhow they can legally move. One of the rules of engagement whileplaying is to create a strategy and to move on the board gaining leveragewhile forecasting your opponent's next move. The more leverage andplanning, the better the chance of winning. The goal is to study youropponent and strategically align yourself on the board to capture theking (leader). Once captured, which is an indication that he has beenconquered and replaced by the strategist who declares checkmate ...GAME OVER!
Do not assume or move haphazardly with your opponent. Youropponent is probably just as skillful and ready to win as you. Justbefore the checkmate, the player must get as close to their opponent aspossible without giving away his position and strategy. To conquer, onemust enter behind enemy lines. You'd be wise to work your way acrossthe board strategically, always making calculated steps and always witha keen eye. Take caution to watch your opponent's mannerisms. Oneindecisive move or hesitation has the potential to create massive chaos, realignment or takeover. Now, shift from thinking chess to marketplace. What if you were born for such a time as this to be "king" called tothe marketplace to solve problems? What if ... it's time to play chessas kings?
When I think about the Kingdom of God, I think of generals, oras in a game of chess, bishops, who are skilled in the marketplace, and who are not afraid to make a move in politics, media, arts, entertainment, education, finances and business. These men and womenpossess entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial spirits to engage in high places asmodern-day kings.
The Art of War
Sun Tzu wrote the book entitled The Art of War. Sun Tzu was a Chinesegeneral and military strategic thinker. His military tactics and writingshave been studied by presidents, military officers, businesses andordinary men. I, too, have studied Sun Tzu's management style. Hewas known as a great military strategist during his generation. Theprinciples he outlined for movement and war are still studied today.Sun Tzu understood the cost of war and discussed why a well-preparedmilitary (company) looks for strategic turns. Well, you kings in theearth, "welcome to the strategic turn of business reform." The Kingdomof Heaven is aligning you to take possession in markets and lead.
We are at a strategic turn as world systems are upside down in everyindustry. As we stand at the junction of this lavish opportunity, is thereno king assigned to solve national problems as administrators andambassadors representing the Kingdom of God? Is there not one whocan stand in the gap and transcribe solutions as king? Do we have amodern-day Nehemiah, Josiah, David, Joshua, Joseph, Esther or shallwe wait for another generation? I believe we have been summoned byGod for this time and season as kings, friends and world changers. Theworld is looking for problem solvers, leaders and "men" of skill. It's aparadigm shift and strategy where the "sons of God" arise to take theirrightful seat as God's administrative team in business.
There is a shift! Welcome to the "shift change" ... I salute you! Sincethere is a shift, at the capstone of each mountain God is positioningheralds of change who happen to be His modern-day kings.
Let's establish the rules of engagement: First and foremost, the Kingdomof God is a game changer! This is reformation and the kings are calledsee it through. Second: It's a strategic time to reestablish order and rebuildthe wasted place. A time where light clashes with darkness at the peakof the every mountain.
As strategic as that may sound, we're here on the planet to advance it.We are called into the Kingdom of light to contend with darkness.Third: We must take note of the changes, protocols and define, redesignand reestablish order by revisiting exactly what the Father desires. Wemust be "spot on" in precision and making the acquisition without fearor delay. We are called to transform the world (Romans 12:2). We arecalled to humanity, business and reformation. It is a mandate, a clarioncall to contend for the faith, deal with injustice, and go to work as kings(Revelation 11:15).
But take extreme caution. Don't be too excited as the changing...
