Renée Gray-Wilburn has been writing nonfiction for children and adults for more than 12 years. In addition to being a frequent magazine contributor, she is also the author of two children's books--Volcanoes! and Earthquakes! Although Renée lives far from hurricanes, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, flash flooding wasn't far from her doorstep while she worked on the Weather Aware series!
