In A Deep Dance Set for Unaccompanied Contrabassoon In 1995, the Las Vegas Sundowners Club commissioned Dorff to create a competition piece for the first International Contrabassoon Festival. Inspired by his love of the Bach cello suites, Dorff modeled a dance suite for unaccompanied contrabassoon, based on dance rhythms from his own life. The movement titles Hustle Misterioso, Twist Variations, Bear Hug, and Funk Scherzo.
