A cadre of four siblings, three boys and one girl, the eldest being Ichiro, a boy of 13, live without their parents in ‘Serran,’ the capital of ‘The Spirit Island’ as their parents are sailors and hardly ever meet them. Everything goes well. But of course, only as long as god wants it to. On his thirteenth birthday Ichiro receives a letter and a gift apparently from their parents. None of them believes the letter, but when Ayami, the youngest of the four, takes a bite from one of those four supposed-to-be-fruits, and Ichiro follows, they are gifted with supernatural powers.Following the instructions of the letter, they then start training with the newly-gifted powers and on Ichiro’s fourteenth birthday, set off on a journey to revive their parents by defeating the evil soul, the one that has managed to keep the Spirit God a captive.To become worthy opponents of the evil soul, they have to go through twelve forts at each of which they have to defeat a guardian, most of who aren’t even humans, and thus obtain more spirit fruits, each one making them stronger. The guardian of the very first fort is an immortal genius and renders the siblings powerless, literally, though a machine called the disc of power.Will they fight through it all? Alone? Definitely not. With some help? Who knows.

The characters (except Preskrito & Azgaurd) and their island is introduced in the first chapter. Till chapter 4, Ichiro lives a normal life. Then he receives a letter and a gift from his dead parents and sets out with his siblings to revive them. To revive his parents, he and his siblings have to go through 12 fords and reach the 13th one to destroy the evil soul (who intends to take over the world or destroy it, no one knows). They finish their training and leave for the first fort. They find the first fort's guardian and get captured. Rescued by Azgaurd, they finally defeat Preskrito. Azgaurd betrays and is killed. Preskrito returns with much more power and stronger army. He is then destroyed eternally. His soul is captured in Ichiro's sword (which Ichiro doesn't know) and hence his the sword becomes yet stronger. They go back to their homeland on Preskrito saying it was destroyed and they find out that it truly was. They then get over it and upgrade weapons using stuff Ayami stole while in Preskrito's castle. They set out for the second fort, this time with the guild master and Jacob and only halfway through something mysterious happens and Ichiro blacks out with no idea of what became of the others.
