Inhaltsangabe

Presenting a play on the stage is a very special kind of story telling. Over the centuries, from the ancient Greeks to Ben Brantley, countless ideas and rules have evolved about how to do this effectively. The object of 111 Directions for Directors is to condense a mountain of philosophical treatises on the matter into a common sense list of rules that offer young would-be directors insights into the process of turning the literary plan we call a script into a vibrant, three dimensioned dramatic action unfolding on the stage.
