On May 25, 1961, Former President Kennedy announced the race to the moon and the aim for the United States of "landing a man on the moon, and returning him, safely, to the earth". On July 20, 1969, Neil A. Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first men to set their footprints on another solar object where no man had gone before. They set a new step toward the exploration and maybe colonization of the solar system and beyond. Their mission was a huge step in human history. Even today, Apollo 11 is known as a big step in human history.
