Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Dr. Roper is a mestizo. Raised between two cultures, he has embraced both and continues in the role of educator to narrow the gap in understanding the difficulties faced by youth growing up in and attempting to navigate the hurdles that impede the developing sense of cultural identity of bi-cultural adolescents. Dr. Roper has earned an A.A.S., B.S., M.S., Ph.D. (Clinical Counseling/Urban Education). An expert in the field of Adolescent Behavior Management, with varied interests, he has written on various topics, from Paint Balling to understanding Automaticity in Counseling Skills Acquisition. Awarded the NYNEX Teaching Fellowship, Dr. Roper split his time between New York City and Cleveland, where he maintained a thriving practice in both cities. No longer in private practice, he focused his energies on teaching and has taught at secondary and post secondary institutions. Professor Roper is semi- retired from teaching though still maintaining a small teaching load of doctoral students working to complete doctoral dissertations and works with a small group of Special Education students. Dr. Roper resides in New York City.
