A VERSE


A stork, of the baby sort,
To rock a lot in the cradle.
And to yawn, with a lullaby
Song. For the stork can do
No wrong.

A bounty of silver and
Turquoise to sell. For that
Picturesque cactus blossom
Of New Mexico.

Grows in a soil of lava.
Then a native of Idaho. As
Pungent as it can be.
Among a sunset of
Tumbleweeds.

And to candle her parasols with
Twilight. Then a blaze of heavenly

Spill a tiny blessing. To

Deep Arabia. Celebrated by
It's tessellated of iron.
And with a mirage of the dust
Then cold and tasty water.
For the waiting Oasis.

The fumaroles and hot springs
Of the Himalayas. Within the
Snows and ice of the Artie
Climate. With their humanoid
Forms, and coats of fur. Then
The last of a dying species.
In a seething of sulphur.
