It names 21 places across 32 dated entries. Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one diagram. The diary opens at Les Mazures on 25 February 1916. 1916 is spent at Les Mazures, Berles, Fonquevillers and Hanchy. 1917 is the most travelled year, 11 places against 8 in the next busiest, and is spent at Mazingarbe, Pommier, Lievin and Bayencourt. 1918 at Beaumetz-Lez-Aire, Vendin-Lez-Bethune, Equirre and Hurionville. It closes at Beaumetz-Lez-Aire on 28 February 1918.
