Mark Lazarowicz is an Advocate in practice at the Scottish Bar. He has experience in public and administrative law, including housing, social welfare and immigration cases and a special interest in environmental law. He was Member of Parliament for Edinburgh North and Leith between 2001 and 2015, and prior to that was Leader of Edinburgh Council. He has written widely on a range of legal and public policy issues.
Jean McFadden is Visiting Lecturer in Law at the University of Strathclyde. Alongside her academic law career, she has served as a councillor since 1971 and was Leader of Glasgow City Council 1980–1986 and 1992–1994. She held the posts of Chairman of Mayfest 1983–97, City Treasurer 1986–92 and President of COSLA 1990–92. She was awarded the CBE in 1992.
