Mathematician Griffiths did not stop working or publishing after the first four volumes of his selected works appeared, and the Society thought it time to start catching up with him again. Bryant and Green maintain the principle in the earlier volumes of presenting the papers in topical sections, even though some cases are best fit rather than perfect fit. They include introductions to some of his books as well. Part Five covers differential geometry and Hodge theory with papers published 1983-2014. Among the topics are variations of Hodge structure as an exterior differential system: old and new results, extremal degenerations of polarized Hodge structures, and Néron models and limits of Abel-Jacobi mappings. Part Six covers algebraic cycles, with papers published 2003-2007 considering such matters as Hodge-theoretic invariants for algebraic cycles, and algebraic cycles and singularities of normal functions I.
