Janet Rodgers was born and raised in Maryland. As a young wife and mother, she moved to Alabama where she and her husband raised their three children. After her children were on their own, Janet began traveling around the country, visiting 32 states and living in 8 of them. Most of her traveling was in a motor home alone, enjoying the natural wonders of the United States. Janet worked in Yellowstone National Park, WY, for 3 seasons as an auditor, and in Death Valley National Park, CA, also as an auditor. She is an accomplished artist and enjoys painting, drawing, sewing, wood-working and genealogy research. Her desire has been to narrate her travels for children and peak their interest about all the wonderful places there are to visit in the U.S. Her hope is that children will have their own dreams of traveling the country and enjoying its nature and beauty.
